The Department of Computer Science and Engineering takes pride in being a hub of
innovation, creativity, and
impactful research. With a strong vision to contribute meaningfully to society
through technology, the department
has built a culture that promotes research-led learning and real-world problem
solving.
Research activities in the department span across key areas such as Artificial
Intelligence, Machine Learning,
Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, and Cloud Computing. These
are not just buzzwords, but active
areas of exploration where both faculty and students are engaged in meaningful
work with measurable outcomes.
Regularly conducted Ideathons, workshops, and hackathons fuel a spirit of
innovation and collaboration, encouraging
students to think beyond the classroom. Every idea, no matter how small, is
nurtured through mentoring and technical
guidance, with a focus on converting concepts into solutions.
Several research initiatives have secured funded grants, including prestigious
programs such as the TIH-IoT CHANAKYA
Fellowship 2024, MSME 3.0, and MSME 4.0. These projects are led by experienced
professors in areas like healthcare,
smart agriculture, digital security, and intelligent automation.
The department is also recognized as a Research Centre by the University, which
enables it to guide Ph.D. scholars.
Research scholars allocated by the University work closely with departmental
faculty on high-impact research
problems, further enriching the academic environment.
What sets the department apart is its commitment to ethical innovation and
sustainability. Research here is not just
about technological advancement; it is about responsible and inclusive growth.
The department actively promotes
interdisciplinary collaborations to ensure that research outcomes are relevant,
usable, and scalable.
With a future-ready mindset, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
continues to evolve as a centre of
excellence—developing technologies that empower individuals, strengthen
